Bio

I am a contemporary artist living and working in Zurich.

My artistic practice combines figurative reduction with poetic abstraction. I’m drawn to fleeting moments, atmospheric depth, and the emotional space between thought and sensation — to presence, resonance, and the intimacy of being.

Originally trained in graphic design and illustration, I studied at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna and spent over a decade working as an art director and designer across publishing, advertising and digital media. After years of visual design and creative direction, I returned to painting with a renewed artistic voice.

My main practice is painting. At the same time, I explore different media as a way to expand my sensibility for rhythm, texture, and atmosphere. My visual language is shaped by rhythm, composition, light and clarity – but also by intuition and emotion. I follow color – not only with my eyes, but with the feeling it evokes within me.

What interests me most is presence, not narrative, but emotion — the trace of gesture, the silence between forms, the honesty of imperfection, the brushstrokes, textures, these marks are expressions of personality and humanity. They allow the work to breathe – making it tangible, honest, vulnerable and alive.

Artists Statement

My art is about the here and now – a state of presence in which light, color, form and feeling become tangible. I aim to create spaces of quiet emotion and visual rhythm.
